First, the puppies went in for their vet visit and everything went great! They're all as healthy as can be and are really growing fast now! They're all around the 9 lb mark! They're also really enjoying the snow and running around playing in it.
Our Moko has also come back home and is helping in teaching the puppies proper manners when interacting with other dogs. It is quite comical at times and a tad noisy but it is necessary! It has been a rather busy week and weekend but all in all really good. 5 of the puppies are waiting to join their future forever homes and I know that the 3 that are left, will be meeting their future owners soon. Time is flying by and there is just over a week until they're ready to go!
We have recently made the difficult decision to pass Cleo on to another family as we're not where we want to be and we wanted to make sure that she would get everything that she deserves. We found an incredible family that was very excited to add her to their family and give her a great home on their 17 acres. We will miss her but it was a decision that had to be made. Hope you have a wonderful new life our beautiful girl!

It's a New Year!
Greetings! I hope you've all had a wonderful and enjoyable Christmas holiday and splendid celebrations to bring in the New Year! I had a great day on New Year's eve, I was able to go out on one last dog sled ride in 2010. The weather was perfect and it was a great ride. To me, there is nothing like it and I appreciate every oppertunity that I get to go do it! Puppies are doing great! They're growing so fast and it's hard to believe that in 1 more month, they'll be going off to their new forever homes. I'm so excited for everyone's lives that our puppies are going to touch! It is such an adventure adding a \Husky into your life, especially when it is your first one! Hope everyones New Year has been going great, take care and until next time my friends..........

Puppies!
I just wanted to leave a note about the puppies that just joined our family! We had 9 beautiful puppies, 1 black/white, 3 silver/black/white and 5 red/white puppies. There are 4 boys and 5 girls! They are all doing good, the runt did have a bit of a rough start but she is recovering nicely. I am still a bit sleep deprived but they are so worth it! I'll post more pictures soon!

How quickly time passes!
So alot has happened in the last little bit for me. First, I set some new personal records! I just recently went a dog sled adventure with the most amount of dogs I've taken out yet. On Sunday, I was able to take out 8 dogs! Not only was the number of dogs a new record for me but it was also the longest trail that I had ever taken. We groomed some new trails and I was really excited to see the spectacular view from the back of a sled! It truly was beautiful .......... I was enjoying the view a little too much though and took a new corner a bit too fast. It was then that I took my first spill of the day. It wasn't too bad....... I stopped the dogs, righted the sled and got going again! Our turn around point was just around that corner and we got the dogs turned around, fed them their treats and gave them a bit of a rest. It was when I headed back around that same corner that I really took a dive. I was putting both feet and all of my weight on the brake to slow the 8 crazy, happily exuberant dogs down and wasn't able to fully control the sled. I ended up hitting a tree that really rocked the sled and myself off to the left. I hit the ground so hard that my hat that had been secured to my head flew off! I did somehow manage to stop the dogs before they drug me too far. It all happened so fast but all I could remember is don't let go of the sled!! Anyways, I picked myself up and when I righted the sled, it didn't feel right ....... the sled was no longer a solid structure! I had broke their sled! I couldn't really believe it at first and I felt pretty bad. I was later told that they were surprised that it had lated as long as it had! That made me feel better at least. We all also agreed that some changes needed to be made to that corner. So, I also set a new record that day as I had never biffed more than once a trip. To top it all off ......... I broke my first sled. It was quite the experience, not that I want to do that again but it probably won't be the last time!
To top everything off ........... our beautiful Nikita had 9 beautiful puppies last night!! YAY!!! Check out my new puppy page!!
Ciao for now!
